Sensory disintegration in neuropathology - Ivanichev G.A. The monograph "Sensory disintegration in neuropathology" presents the results of generalization of existing ideas about the role of sensory systems in the deployment and development of pathological processes of a number of diseases of the nervous system.
The work can be referred to the category of publications on fundamental problems of neurology. A brief excursion into anatomical and physiological features of sensory systems is part of the main part devoted to the development of actual neuropathologic syndromes. This material is presented in the final part of the book. The underlying idea of the monograph is the concept of imbalance and deficit of proprioception in the development of generative mechanisms of pathologically enhanced excitation (gpuv), nociceptive response, cervical asynergy, fibromyalgia syndrome, change of direction of pathophysiological cycles in the development of diseases of the extrapyramidal system (spastic torticollis) and others. The author offers his vision of the disintegration of sensory systems from the point of view of the development of typical pathological processes presented by G.N. Kryzhanovsky in the modern form. This approach proved to be productive in substantiating and proving the development of musculofascial pain mechanisms. The presented point of view is supported by practical results - an original and highly effective technique for the treatment of muscular pain (postreciprocal relaxation) has been developed.
The clinical approach in the interpretation of actual problems of theoretical neurology proved to be productive in generalizing a large amount of information on the integration of pathophysiological mechanisms in the development of nociceptive response, painful musculofascial dysfunction, fibromyalgia syndrome, cervical asynergy, and many syndromes and nosologies.
The material offered to the reader contains a solid information array of numerous authoritative publications on the discussed problem and own studies, mainly devoted to neurophysiological data in myofascial pain and evoked responses of the nervous system (sbs-reflexes, ssvp, etc.).
The monograph is not a systematized material on the nosology of nervous diseases and a review of the literature on the disintegrative processes of sensory systems. It is an attempt to apply modern clinical and neurophysiologic data to "old problems".
The book is compiled in the author's literary style, the numerous photographs of the authors are not biographical material - they are given in the measure of reminiscence of "departed" authors, whose scientific feats allowed to collect the discussed material in this edition.
The book is intended for neurologists and general practitioners, clinical neurophysiologists
